During this half-day camp, campers will be immersed in Latin culture, dance and language. Campers will discover the rich and distinct Latin culture through music, stories, activities and games. Each day will feature dance and language lessons unique to Latin countries. Campers will learn merengue, salsa, cha cha, samba and more. Other activities include crafts and cooking. Join us in this unique day camp as we navigate the globe and explore Latin countries and their cultures.

Instructor Bio: Lily has studied Spanish language and culture since she was a child. She majored in Spanish Literature at Wesleyan University in Connecticut. During this time she lived and studied abroad in the Dominican Republic and Ecuador. Upon graduating, she spent a summer in Spain teaching English. As a child and adult she also spent many holidays visiting family in Puerto Rico. Having begun her dance studies in ballet at the age of 9, she later branched out to Latin dance in college. She has studied Latin dance in the aforementioned countries, as well as Mexico, Peru and for a month in Brazil last year. She loves Latin dance and currently teaches it to youth and adults throughout Marin County.
