Here’s your chance to experience over 30 years of summer camp tradition and the magic that makes Angel Island Camp, the camp kids always come back to!
Angel Island Camp is one of Marin County’s best known and oldest summer day camps operating since 1977. Each session, there is a new theme with different activities, so that you can attend all summer long. Campers will discover the island through games, crafts, science and explore its many trails & historic hideaways. Along the way, campers will take in the breathtaking views of the bay and discover why Angel Island is referred to as the jewel of the bay.
The three grade-specific camp groups are carefully designed to address the developmental needs of children, so you can send your camper year after year. Starfish provides a safe and comfortable first step into the summer camp environment, Sea Horses focus on developing friendships and teamwork, Sharks build self-confidence, develop responsibility and set out on achieving memorable adventures. No matter what group you’re in, we’re committed to providing a fun and unforgettable camp experience!
Some of the Weekly Highlights
Feast on a delicious BBQ every week! Keep the lunch box at home and let our staff prepare an old fashioned BBQ. Campers will enjoy munching on hot dogs/hamburgers (vegetarian or meat), chips, salad, fruit, drinks and dessert. Please let our staff know in advance if your child has specific dietary requirements.
On the last day of each session skilled instructors introduce campers to the equipment and sport of kayaking in Ayala Cove. Sea Trek Kayak, California’s premier sea kayaking outfitter operating since 1982, provides instruction, supervision and equipment. Following orientation, guides take small groups out to paddle briefly in the cove providing campers a “kayaker’s view” of Angel Island. Returning campers build on their previous kayak experience and become more confident each week with their newly acquired skills.
