Camp Miwok

Ages: 3.5 – 5 (must be potty trained)

At Camp Miwok, we recognize that your child’s first day camp experience will be a lasting memory. We strive to make every day new and exciting for our youngest campers. This four-hour long camp is designed to introduce them to and create a lasting appreciation of the beautiful outdoors and introduce them to the day camp environment. Camp Miwok is an outdoor day camp with activities such as songs, crafts, stories, cooking, games, themed special event days, and much more.

Located in the heart of Belvedere at beautiful Belvedere Park and Community Center, the weekly schedule provides a well-rounded, traditional camp experience. Attentive camp staff and a 5 to 1 ratio will provide a nurturing environment, so your young camper feels comfortable, secure and looks forward to camp each day. Each session is unique and full of surprises that will entice your child’s imagination!

Daily Schedule

Each week features different activities, but the daily schedule will be consistent to encourage confidence and self-reliance in your child. Water, restroom and sunscreen breaks are part of our daily camp routine.

EACH DAY WILL INCLUDE:

Discovery Time: Discovery stations will be set up daily so campers can explore the limits of their creativity as they build, draw, cut, paste, explore nature, solve puzzles, play with sand/water, play dress up and participate in dramatic play.

Circle Time: Some days we’ll have a song circle, some days we’ll have a sharing circle, other days we’ll have story time. Circle Time is a time of quiet interaction, where we encourage children to listen and be heard.

Active Play: Get the wiggles out! Campers will spend some time dancing, learning a new sport/game or tumbling.

Snack: Yummy nutritious snacks are provided daily. Please notify the camp director if your child has any food allergies.

Artful Play: Campers will participate in activities such as arts and crafts, science projects/experiments, music, and creative dramatics…each day of the week highlights a different activity offering for a well-rounded camp experience…

Lunch Time
New this summer at Camp Miwok, we are providing a nutritious lunch each day at camp. Each lunch will have a fruit, veggies, healthy carbohydrate and protein. Children who have food allergies should bring their own lunch as we cannot accommodate most allergies. The fee for weekly lunch is $30/child and it is in addition to the camp fee. Lunch menus will be available on our website soon! To register for our lunch option, please call our recreation office. This is an optional service for our campers and their families. You are not required to participate in our lunch service.
